Right now, the lives of over three million people in the UK are threatened by chronic kidney disease. We can only fund lifesaving research with your help.
3rd June 2010
On Tuesday 25th May TV presenter Angela Rippon, patron of Kidney Research UK, and Harry Potter star Warwick Davis officially opened our new offices.
The evening was well attended by local businesses and our aim to raise our profile within Peterborough was a success.
Charles Kernahan, Chief Executive of Kidney Research UK said, “this is a really important move for Kidney Research UK. It provides us with the ideal environment to help us fulfil our goal of doubling our income and tripling our impact on kidney disease, by funding even more research to save lives. This move, combined with changes to the way we have organised the Charity, allows us to be together as one team in a single location.”
Malcolm Whale, the charity’s longest serving member of staff said “I have worked for Kidney Research UK for many years and I am delighted to see the charity make this move, which will enable us to go from strength to strength in seeking cures for kidney disease.”
One guest sent a follow up email “Just thought I’d drop you a line to say thank you for inviting me to the launch and well done on an excellent job. There was a lovely atmosphere and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves while understanding the important message.”
Thank you to www.urbantog.com for taking this great picture of the ribbon cutting
