So what is the Kidney Research Alumni?
Kidney Research UK’s Alumni programme is a professional development scheme for past and present grant recipients, which, in addition to increasing the UK’s capacity for renal research, aims to encourage increasing involvement and support for the Charity – helping us to fund further research and support more fellowships.
Bringing together research and clinic professionals including as its core members, current and past research fellows and PhD students, to achieve greater collaboration, share knowledge and best practice and promote innovation leading to increased kidney research capacity in the UK.
-
Providing networking support to clinical and scientific researchers to enhance career development.
-
Developing generic research skills including grant applications, statistics and analysis, clinical trial development as well as CPD accredited seminars& workshops, via a variety of platforms both on and off-line.

Membership
Core Alumni membership will be automatically awarded to Kidney Research UK’s current and past research Fellows and PhD students.
There is an ‘Associate Membership’ category for the wider renal community which is available to anyone with a renal research interest, including both clinical and non-clinical, key stakeholders and opinion leaders. To apply for Associate membership – please click here
We hope to develop a third ‘Honorary Member’ category for those working closely with us to help develop the Alumni programme.
